Yucca Valley man arrested for possession of narcotics with prior convictions

Early in the morning of Monday, August 4, 2025, Edward George Perry, a resident of the Yuka Valley, California, was arrested by deputies from the San Bernardino Provincial Administration for possession of a controlled material with two previous convictions.

At approximately 2:26 am, MPs Perry in Yuka Valley Community Park faced the Yuka Wadi Society Center. During the meeting, berries were observed in an attempt to ignore a glass tube containing white crystalline residue in line with drug tools, suspected of methamphetamine.

After being held for possession of drug tools, a search for a plastic bag containing a similar white crystal in his pocket was revealed.

Record examination showed that Perry had two previous convictions to possess a controlled material.

Under the new legal framework created by the 36th proposal, approved by voters in California on November 5, 2024, and as of December 18, 2024, Perry was arrested for possession of a subject of control with two previous convictions, which are now classified as a felony.

The proposal 36, entitled “The Law of Displacement, Drug addiction and Reducing theft,” Reform Reforms from the proposal 47 and the symbols of the new punishment, health and safety that aims to address increases in displacement, drug addiction, and theft. The statute of deputies also allows the application of the issuance of reinforced rulings and restricted its release before the court appears in appropriate cases.

This detention is an application of the updated regulations under the 36th proposal.
