One year later, two days after Dr. Hamid Mirchojay opened fire outside his office in Woodland Hills, his family filed an illicit death lawsuit against his ex -wife and others accused of organizing his murder.
The beloved doctor was shot in the parking square at the Warner Plaza Medical Center, located on Topanga Canyon Street and Oxenard Street, around 5:30 pm on August 23, 2024.
The Los Angeles Police Administration revealed at the time that the initial investigation into the accident revealed that Mirchojay, 61, was targeted in a “murder similar to an ambush.” He announced his death at the scene.
The months were approved before the announcement of the arrest of five people in terms of slaughter, including the former MirShojae wife, Ahang MirShojae (also named after Ahang Kelk). On Monday, the family of the late doctor filed a lawsuit against his ex -wife and the four conspirators who claim deliberate emotional distress, graft, and demands for survival and the transfer of fraudulent assets.
In addition to the illegal allegations and emotional death, the lawsuit also claims that Ahang MirShojae has mysteriously transferred assets in an attempt to protect them from legal accountability after killing.
“Prosecutors follow the means of recession under the California Unified Transactions Law to restore these assets,” the lawyers explained.
According to the widow of Mirchojay, Ghazal Simurg, the family visits abroad in Türkiye with the 6 -month -old couple’s child at the time of the shooting. It was reported that she soon returned to the United States when she learned of her husband’s killing.
“This was a nightmare for the widow of Dr. Mirchojay, Ghazal Simorg, and their little daughter,” Alex Guerrero, the main lawyer of the prosecutors, said in a statement issued to KTLA. “The loss of a husband and father of such a devastating bloodshed work. Our lawsuit seeks to justice for this family and take responsibility for this horrific crime, not only criminal, but civil as well.”
Simurg spoke at a press conference alongside her lawyer on Monday morning.
“I miss my husband every day, and it is not fair that my one -year -old child lost her father at a very early age,” she said. “I live with fear every day after my husband was killed, but I am trying to be strong for my children. I just want justice.”
