Austin (KXAN)-The July Floods that destroyed the destroyed Texas unprecedented in many novels-change in the river level, and loss of souls.
The effects of the rise of Guadalobi, more than 40 feet, have not even seen by those who were called this part of the state’s home for years-and it includes the great predictors of KXan Jim Spencer. The meteorologist Christine Corrie spoke with her colleague about his view of floods.

Meteorological expert Christine Curie, KXAN News: The weather was expected in central Texas for decades. A man does not need an introduction. Jim, talked to me how strange the weather in July. Have you ever seen anything like him?
Jim Spencer, Kxan News: So, I will go to 35 years of forecasting Austin and central Texas, that is, through a long snapshot, the worst tragedy, the worst loss of the lives we have seen ever. Who happened in 98 on Guadalupe, in 2002 on Guadalupe … then random events, smaller flood events on Guadalupe … they took life, but in this size? At this level of the river? Nah.
They say this is now about 500 years old, and this is what can be believed. Of course, we and I know that many waterways now see floods of 500 years, or 100-year-old floods, every two years due to forced in Jonah due to climate change-to warming.
At the end of the day, amazing flood hours … people, they have preached for years on KXAN from the perspective of the weather department, which is an hour means Something. warning means Something. This means taking action. The warning was 1:15 am about two hours before we believed that the first deaths occurred on the Guadalobi River.
There are many questions that still have to be answered about who is responsible for taking the message to these victims and evacuating. What happened in that window for two hours? We are three weeks – where are these answers? I am proud of our investigation team to continue doing what they are doing.
This is still very painful for all of us, and we cannot even imagine the shock of those families, especially those that seem to be missing.
Korean: Jim, you are a reliable voice in this society. You were sending us during the flood of Independence Day, so your vision and your experience-it’s very valuable, and we are very lucky for you. Thank you very much for taking time with us.
