Witness details seeing speeding truck eluding police; ending in a crash injuring 5 people

Glendale, COLO (KDVR)-One of the witnesses says they saw a suspected stolen vehicle driver walking away from the Aurora police on Saturday night before they collided with a face in a non-intrusive car in Glenel on Saturday evening.

The photos show the result of the accident near the South Leetsdale Drive intersection and South Cherry Street.

The driver refused to withdraw, and the officers led to chase via Aurora before stopping at Glenel – where tires and auto parts are still at the scene.

Edith Perez said she had seen the stalking moments before influence.

“I have seen YouTube videos with these chases, but live it is very frightening,” she said. “It was very fast; it was very fast. I never saw anyone driving quickly in this field.”

Perez said she was still shaking about 24 hours after the stalking ended.

Perez said: “I went to make grocery stores at King Soopers across the street,” Perez said. “While I was leaving, I saw a lot of police. Then, I just saw a white truck working from the police.”

State soldiers say that the driver in the stolen car, the suspect, Dodge RAM 2000, initially entered a slight crash in Denver while the police were continuing, before continuing in the north.

Police says that due to a slight crash in Denver, the cover prevented the driver’s view, which ended in the upcoming traffic before reaching the Nissan Lev’s face to face.

Perez said: “He was leaving the passengers, and he was looking around him to find out whether or not he would achieve it.”

The state of Colorado Mandez states said that all the four passengers were transferred to the Nissan Lev vehicle to the hospital, and one of them was suspected of serious physical injuries. Mendez said that the driver was also transferred to the hospital while he was detention due to uncomfortable injuries.

The 26 -year -old driver, Michael Frea, was arrested after he was released from the hospital.

Police says he has a long criminal rap card, including arrests for car theft, identity defrauding, and many contacts for their failure to maintain his position in the record of sexual crimes to condemn the Adams province court involving a minor.

Freyta was charged with a wide range of charges in this case, including two charges of vehicle attacks, car theft, felony and misdemeanors that drive under the effect.

“He was very crazy,” Perez said. “I don’t know, it was very frightening. Then imagine people cross the streets or wait for the bus, anything will be very tragic.”

CSP continues to investigate the accident, which comes just a few months after the new chase policy of APD.

Until now, there have been nearly 50 hunts since the policy entered into force on March 5, which resulted in more than 40 arrests.
