(Kron)-Firefighters are fighting burning a fire in Dublin 118 acres in Dublin, according to the latest information from Cal Fire.
The fire, which was called “Parks Fire”, caught at about 3:23 pm on the base of the American Army’s military camp, according to the city of Dublin. The fire was initially estimated at 40 acres, but from 5:25 pm, the fire doubled almost three times in size.
“Camp Parks firefighting department is working on a fast -moving movement … The fire burns on the base,” Dublin participated on social media on Friday evening. “There are no threatened buildings at this time.”
The Olaida Province Fire Department and the Saint Ramon Valley Fire Department also help in the fire. The fire extinguishing department in Saint Ramon Valley includes six engines fighting the fire on the northern end of the camp gardens near the Bolinger Canyon road.
As of 6:56 pm, the fire was contained by 50 %. The Parks Reserve Training Zone issued the next statement on social media.
“No structures or fire buildings were damaged,” said Parks Parks Training Zone on Facebook. “The air firefighting assets were used by air from PRFTA, Alaeda Province, Livermore Pleasanton and Cal Fire to combat fire.”
The cause of the fire fire is still under investigation. The evacuation orders have not been issued.
