Molly Yeh captivated Food Network viewers while cooking up tasty delights in her colorful kitchen. The cookbook author’s home is her personal cooking playground, and viewers of Girl Meets Farm are itching to know more about her cozy abode and where she lives.
Where Does Molly Yeh Live?
Molly lives in East Grand Forks, Minnesota, however; her farmland also extends to the North Dakota border. She previously lived in New York City but decided to move to her now-husband Nick Hagen’s hometown and leave the city life behind.
“This move was right for me, but all of my friends in New York City are where they should be,” she told Architectural Digest in June 2018. “We know friends who move here for a job or whatnot, and some of them love it and some of them don’t, and that’s OK. If you’re thinking about doing a move, try it for a year. What’s the worst that can happen?”
The farmhouse previously belonged to Nick’s grandmother.
“Before I started dating Nick, I always thought that I wanted to end up with somebody that I would be able to be trapped on a desert island with and still have a really good time,” the cooking enthusiast shared. “And being on a farm in the upper Midwest is like being on a desert island. We’re both really easygoing people; it’s been great. I think the biggest adjustment was adjusting to his hours as a farmer. But we are both so happy to be here and he is so happy to be working with his dad on the farm.”
In addition to living in the area, Molly opened her first restaurant, Bernie’s, in East Grand Forks.
“Located on the banks of the Red River, Bernie’s is housed in the historic former home of the beloved Whitey’s Wonderbar, a space that served East Grand Forks for almost 100 years. When local farmer Nick Hagen and his wife, Food Network host Molly Yeh, learned that it would soon be available, they heard their calling to take over the space,” the restaurants website says. “After a fresh coat of paint and a good deep clean of the original and iconic 93-year-old horseshoe bar, Bernie’s was born with a menu that pays homage to the old while bringing in the new.”

Renovations Were Done on Molly Yeh’s Home
Molly began filming her hit show, Girl Meets Farm, inside of her farmhouse in 2018. She and Nick welcomed their first child together, daughter Bernadette Rosemary Yeh Hagen, in 2019. The couple then decided it was time to renovate their home. Molly gave birth to their second child, Ira Dorothy Yeh Hagen, in February 2022. The following month, she announced that renovations on their house were completed.
“Almost exactly two years ago, baby bernie and i sat on a picnic blanket outside our house as we watched a construction crew tear out our garage to make way for a new addition that would solve the puzzle of how to work, film, live, and grow our family all under one roof, while also keeping the heart of the original farmhouse (like the kitchen!) untouched,” Molly captioned a March 2022 Instagram post. “Two years, three moves, one cookbook, and one baby later: we are ready to reveal our updated house!! #girlmeetsfarmHOUSE is a special one-hour episode during the usual gmf o’clock on march 20 in which we take you through this home building journey! it will include lots of pizza, some fargo adventures, and a sprinkle-cake-inspired bathroom, obviously! we cannot wait to show you! see you on march 20 at 11a/10c on @foodnetwork!”
The renovations included installing a high wall oven in the kitchen.
“A really good friend of mine once said, ‘You should have an oven at waist height because when you’re cooking your Thanksgiving turkey you don’t want to break your back,’” the mom of two told House Beautiful in August 2022.
Multiple pull-out drawers were also installed in the kitchen to clear up counter space.
“One thing that drove me crazy all the time in the original kitchen on the farm house was having to have onions and potatoes and a lot of a lot of non refrigerated produce out on the counter,” she revealed. “So we built in some basket drawers right near the stove so I can just reach for an onion without moving.”
