When to talk with your children about climate change

Austin – KXAN, sometimes talking about the warming climate. We give you daily advice on how to save our planet from the risk of climate change. Sometimes we provide advice on how children share projects such as fertilization and recycling.

Time in mind, we wanted to know when the time for adults is to talk to their children about what climate change is, why it happens, and what they can do to help reduce its effects.

Dr. Bradley Berg is a pediatrician with Bilor Scott and White Hospital in Rock Rock. Children say more in line with what is going on with the weather. For example, children may have questions about frozen rain and snow that affected the last winter, to the destroyed floods during the weekend on the fourth of July.

Many schools have climate and meteorological departments as part of the science curriculum. Dr. Berg suggests speaking to your children about what you have learned in these departments.

There is no specific number of conversations that must be performed, they are more organic than anything else, explained by Dr. Berg.

Finally, part of the importance of talking to your child about climate change is because of what can happen in the future if we do not reflect trends that help create our warming planet.
