‘We A**’ — Cam Ward Goes Viral for Extremely Blunt 8-Word Assessment of Titans’ Offense

Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Cam Ward was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Tennessee looked for Ward to come in and help save the Titans’ woeful offense, but there’s only so much a rookie quarterback can do.

The Titans traveled to NRG Stadium in Houston and were shut out 26-0. Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud was hot, throwing two touchdown passes. After the game, Ward didn’t hold back in his criticism of the team.

What Did Cam Ward Say About the Titans?

Ward, who experienced a lot of success while playing as quarterback at Washington State and Miami in college football, is currently 0-4 in his rookie NFL season. Ward spent two seasons at Washington State before going to Miami for one season. He finished fourth in Heisman Trophy voting after last season.

When speaking before reporters after Sunday’s game, what did Ward say? “If we keep it a buck right now, we a**,” he said. “We’ve dropped a quarter of our fu****g games.”

When asked about his play against the Texans, Ward repeated one word in his comments: “A**”. For the game, Ward was 10-for-26 passing for 108 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception.

How bad was the Tennessee offense on Sunday? They had 10 total first downs and were 2-for-11 in third-down efficiency. The Titans ran 46 total offensive plays for 175 offensive yards. They only gained 82 yards on the ground against the tough Texans defense. Tennessee also had zero red-zone attempts, too.

They only had the ball for 21 minutes and 39 seconds in the game. Those numbers all add up to not being an effective offense. The Titans’ offense needs to get in gear immediately. There’s no time to lollygag around because Tennessee might be facing even deeper issues this week.

The loss also puts a shadow over the future of Titans head coach Brian Callahan. He entered the 2025 NFL season hoping things would turn around in Tennessee. But the 0-4 start puts his job security in peril.

Ward’s job security is good as a rookie. But he knows that he’ll have to get better along with his teammates in the remainder of their games this season. Titans fans probably wanted to see their team defeat Houston, which has become a bitter in-division rival over the years.

Of course, the old Houston Oilers were moved to Tennessee by late owner K.S. “Bud” Adams, bringing a healthy dose of hate from NFL fans in Houston.
