KDVR – A Likwood resident faced a ground confrontation with a family of Bobkats during the weekend.
The resident, Kathleen Ash, was able to get the family on the camera while driving her car around the village of Bear Kreik.
The video begins with one of a handful of cats that move and head towards the residents vehicle, with a pursuit of a floating cotton and displays its tail on the street.
“When a person started running me, I thought they would be afraid of us, but it was not afraid at all.”
The little cat stops directly in front of the residents, when my mother Bubakat abandons, with two cats in clouds, in order to return to the group.
While chasing cotton that chases cotton, a fourth Hurai also returns to the frame to join the garbage and the mother, which then leads them from concrete and to a wooded area.
Ash said that the mother jumped from a shed to a fence as she directed cats across the neighborhood.
She said: “We were in a state of shock and surprised what we were seeing in front of our eyes.”
The vision of the bobate cats was painful, but it is not uncommon for residents of the neighborhood, who told Fox31 that they saw bears, foxes and even mousse in the area.
“We continue to build and set off homes, and they continue to approach more and more humanity,” said resident Margo Walters.
Colorado Parks and wildlife said that no matter how nice the animals are, they are still wild and should not be dealt with, especially at a time such as late summer when the bears store food to prepare for the hibernation.
The best way to avoid meetings is to plan early by doing things like maintaining guaranteed trash and pets when they are outside.
If the meeting is inevitable, CPW said not to contact and walk quietly.
Ash said: “We will never get out of the car, move from them, or target them.”
