Found was shockingly canceled by NBC after two seasons in May 2025 along with several other shows. However, a hopeful update was shared about whether or not the show will be picked up by another network for season 3.
Was ‘Found’ Picked Up By Another Network?
So far, Found has not been picked up by another network after its cancellation on NBC. However, when it was announced that the show was not returning to the network, Deadline reported that the show was being “shopped by its lead studio Warner Bros. Television.”
Additionally, Variety reported, “According to an individual with knowledge of the situation, WBTV plans to shop the show to other outlets.” This may mean that there’s still hope that Found will find a new home elsewhere.
‘Found’ Fans Were Livid Over the Show’s Cancellation
Star Shanola Hampton shared a post on Instagram promoting the season 2 finale of the show on May 15, 2025.
“An undefined dynamic, unplanned, completely organic! Gabi and Sir, what IS it?! I hope you enjoy it all coming to a head tonight, as much as I enjoy working with Mark-Paul Gosselaar! Watch the finale of #Found! @nbc @peacock,” she captioned a photo with costar Mark-Paul Gosselaar.
Fans voiced their frustration in social media comments after NBC’s decision to cancel the drama series.
“Sis!!! We need another network to pick this up ASAP….” one person commented on the post, while another said, “I notice Shanola isn’t speaking on the cancellation, maybe she knows something we don’t wishful thinking. I love this show! Don’t want it to end.”
“I am deep in mourning for this show! So much will be left unsaid! I know Sir and Gabi’s dynamic is deeply unhealthy but I love them! I hope someone else picks up Found the way they picked up Manifest because we need more!” another said.
“Hope it gets picked up by another network. The best show and cast!” another person replied.
“So sad it was canceled! Loved Sir! Hope another network or streaming service picks it up,” another pointed out.
“Someone HAS TO PICK THIS UP MAN WE NEED SEASON 3,” another person declared.
The ‘Found’ Cast Revealed What They Wanted to Happen in Season 3
After the season 2 finale aired, the cast members of Found explained how they would have wanted season 3 to go, including delving deeper into the character of Jamie.
“I hope he continues to do work at the agency. I think that that would be really cool and it would be interesting to see where he takes that and how he’s able to contribute back and what ways he finds out to do that,” Parker Queenan told TV Insider in May 2025. “Outside of [being kidnapped], who is he? How does he act? What kind of a person is he? If you just get to know him on a Tuesday, [who is he]? … I think a big part of the show is not defining people by a thing that happened to him. And Jamie had this season where he was defined by what happened to him. If that’s not there anymore, who is he?”
