Volunteers help with camp clean up and search efforts

Austin – The latest numbers show that there are 161 people who are still missing after floods in Kiir Province.

Officials said 96 people died in the province, 60 of them are adults and 36 of them.

With continued searching in days with many people looking for only volunteers.

One group of Ostinain spoke mainly with KXAN about their research efforts and why they help.

“After seeing the tragedy that took place and all the destruction that is happening here, I thought I would go and see what I could do,” said Austin Drew Fish, who organized the group.

Fish’s son -in -law, Chris Karson, joined him, and brought a guidance to the earthquake with him to help debris.

“What really raises me here is to help society, and try to close the victims who are still lost,” said Carson.

This crew throughout CARE province was helping in several ways to search for debris and cut trees, and they are looking for people who are missing.

Some of the volunteering took them to some of the many camps in the region. Fish said they stopped through the Camp La Junta Association and the Camp Children’s Association to achieve the maximum capabilities (CAM) to help remove debris.

“We have done a lot of cleansing of the debris,” Fish said. “A lot of disposal of the garbage that was built on their property.”

The brothers Wade and Wade Moran are also from Austin, and they were in CARE County for a few days of help. Morans said they are happy to help in any possible way.

“they [Camp CAMP] “They are trying to open their camp, so we saw a group of people from all aspects of life appear and do everything necessary to help these people,” Walker said.

Oued Moran said they had reached some firefighting sections in the area before they got off and asked the supplies they needed.

“If there are any organizations that you know are working here communicating with them and see what they need,” Fish said.

Local administrations asked people to check if they are planning to do any work, KXAN also has several ways that you can help in the menu here.

“Everyone is here, they put time, and they work in an attempt to help society as they can,” said Fish.

Fish said at the beginning that he had contacted some people about going to CARE, and almost everyone said yes, until his sister and his father fell to volunteer.
