Video: Watch Waymos avoid disaster in new dashcam videos

(Kron)-Waymo recently released footage of its self-driving cars that avoid potential disasters while driving in the Gulf region and other places as part of a new study that compares driving to human drivers.

The study, published by Waymo on May 1, focused on car shows in Waymo across 11 different types of accident, including those that include pedestrians, bicycle and motorcycles. According to the study, “Waymo reduces serious accidents and makes the streets safer for those at risk.”

“Our study showed that more than 56 million miles, the Waymo driver participated in a number of injuries with 92 % with pedestrians and 82 % of accidents causing injuries with bicycle passengers and motorcyclists compared to human drivers,” Wimo said.

Dashcam shots showed by the company show realistic examples of self -driving cars that avoid motorcycles, motorcycles, bicycles and other cars while they are destroyed in front of Waymos or running red lights directly on their way. The first accident that appeared in the video shows that a motorcycle driver is disrupted in a broker and a land directly in the Waymo track in Lincoln Way and 7th Avenue in San Francisco in January 2025.

Jonathan Adkins, CEO of the Conservative Highway Safety Association, praised Waymo for the driving record.

“It is encouraging to see data in the real world showing that Waymo is superior to human drivers when it comes to safety,” said Adkins. “Less number of accidents and the lowest injuries – especially for people who walk and ride a cycling – is exactly the type of progress we want to see from independent vehicles.”
