Video shows traffic stop near school that led to ICE sending family to Mexico

ASAN (KXAN) – On Tuesday, the Dash Cam’s video, which shows the moment of soldiers and federal agents, released a couple who is not documented in April in front of Austin Intermediate School.

The federal authorities transferred Omar Gallardo Rodriguez, his partner Dennis Barra Vargas, and her three children, two American citizens, to Mexico within a week after the traffic stopped.

KXAN got a 56 -minute Dash Cam video from April 30 by requesting general information to Texas DPS. The video has no sound.

The video starts while the soldiers follow the Rodriguez truck from the intersection of the Fescville Central and East Rondberg Lynn road to the Dubai Intermediate School campus.

DPS officials said that traffic stops began on expired plates. It is not clear when the soldiers indicated that Rodriguez pulled, but the video shows that it is gardens near the back of the school.

The video shows that stopping occurred in the middle of the school morning, where school buses were heading inside and outside. The family’s legal team said that Rodriguez and Burra Vargas have just left their children at school in a nearby school when they were stopped.

The first reaction that appears between two soldiers and the couple while they are still in the truck. It lasts less than four minutes before the soldiers walk. Less than 10 minutes after the soldiers ’exit, the federal agent shots appear on the car and arrest Rodriguez.

According to the ice, Rodriguez has been deported three times before. The agency said that he was imprisoned in Travis Province due to family violence in 2006 and again in 2014 after his third charge of driving under influence.

DPS officials said the Texas tactical strike team was the one who conducted the station alongside internal security investigators. The agency did not respond to whether Rodriguez is the goal of the operation or whether his arrest was the result of a operation in the region.

Rodriguez partner, Para Vara, was also in the truck. According to her legal team, a mother of three years was rejected after coming to the country in 2016. The Ministry of National Security stated that the judge ordered Para Faragas to leave the United States in 2019.

For more than 30 minutes, the video displays the couple who makes phone calls before the officers hand over it a piece of paper and accompany Rodriguez. The video shows employees working inside the school, approaching the law for a short period, and taking pictures of the scene.

The Ministry of National Security told the KXan Parra-Vargas that it was transferred to the nursery on the ice and “chose to bring its children with it to Mexico.” The video of DPS does not show Parra-Vargas. At the end of the video, Parra-Vargas is waiting next to her white family truck.

The family’s legal team said on the day of traffic stops outside the Dubai Intermediate School, and Gallardo and Braar Vargas were detained, but Barra Vargas was released to capture her children from school. At some point, her lawyer said she got a screen in the ankle as part of the ICE intensive supervision program, or ISAP.

According to the family’s legal team, ICE later released Parra-Vargas instructions to submit a report to the ICE facility in Pflugerville. At this appearance, Ice was detained by the mother and her three children, and on May 7, he sent them to Mexico.

I followed [ICE’s] “It has been deported through the Renosa McCalals and is now in Mexico,” said Carlos Enrique Gonzalez Ishivaria in Austin.

Korea Hash, Corrie Hash, a lawyer at the Legal Resources Center for Migration, said one of the lawyers who provide legal support to Para Fargas, that she had informed that Ice used private contractors to transfer the family from the Pflugerville facility.

Hash also said that the family was being held in a hotel room in McACAN, before being transferred to Mexico. KXAN ICE and DHS asked about the use of private contractors and they have not yet received a response.

In a phone call with correspondents on May 9, the legal team of Parra-Vargas and her family said they had not been able to contact the family since its removal from the country. Hash said that their understanding had been moved to a city across the Texas and Mexico borders.

The legal team did not update KXAN to the place or welfare of the family.

DHS and ICE have not answered KXan questions about whether children born in the United States have been appointed to a guardian or any representation during the removal of their parents.
