Vintera Province was arrested for harassment for two young children for years.
Lionel Galendo, 36, from Oujay, is accused of targeting two victims who were less than 14 years old at the time, according to the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Ventura.
The alleged crimes took place between 2018 and 2020 in Santa Paula. The authorities said that Galindo managed to reach children through a family relationship.
Prosecutors said that sexual harassment occurred on multiple occasions as well.
On May 29, after the investigation, Galindo was held outside his workplace.
He was charged with eight criminal charges of obscene acts on a child, as well as allegations of multiple harassment of victims and benefiting from the position of confidence.
“Protection of children is our highest priority,” said Square Whitney, chief investigator. “This detention reflects the dedication of our investigators and their commitment to the search for justice.”
