Vallejo Unified facing school closures

Vallejo, California (Kron) – while some areas focus on returning to school, it is a different story in Vallejo. The Valigo Unified School area is studied in schools closing schools due to low enrollment and financial pressure.

A committee of 10 members of society has reached a list of seven schools that now face potential closure operations:

  • Lincoln Elementary
  • John Fennie Educational Complex
  • Penicok Elementary
  • Stephen Manor Elementary
  • Cooper Elementary
  • Federal primary terrace
  • Elementary highlands

The committee recommended that the affected students be transferred to a different university campus. They held a final meeting on Monday evening, which led to some emotional appeals from society to save their schools.

A community member said: “I was there when I closed a cave. I was there when our school was destroyed. I was there when the community was injured.” “Our society in Stephen feels that now. Our society feels unknown, unlike and unacceptable. This is what happens when the school is closed.”

The boycott said that the goal is to improve students ’levels and teachers.

“While we acknowledge that the process will come challenges, we are committed to working cooperatively with our society to address concerns and build a stronger basis for the future,” the province said in a statement.

The list will be presented to the school’s board of directors on August 20. In front of the board of directors until December to make his final decision.
