ASAN (KXAN) – The 35th Violence Hotel and the University of Texas on the Austin campus on Sunday evening, and sends huge columns of black smoke in the air that can be seen from miles.
the The active accident site in Austin in Austin Firefighters who were responding to the 2700 block from Cole Street showed one block from the I-35 interface road near a restaurant and the hotel. A photo sent to KXan shows fire that comes out of several windows from the hotel.

A big fire in a vacant hotel near the UT campus erupts in Flames
Lisa Herrera saw “huge decorations of black smoke” from the fire while driving on her way from South Austin and “she had to see what happened.”
She said, “The super black smoke was.” “Sometimes, you can see a slight puff of gray, but it was the complete darkness that covered everything. It was crazy. Thank God for the firefighters; they are doing a great job.”
She said she had received a notification from the KXAN NEWS smartphone app with details about the fire.
Austin Fire Fire Department said that electricity was stopped in the area due to the high fire, and that no injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
KXAN has a crew heading to the scene to collect more information, and this story will be updated with more details with its learning.
