The United States has witnessed a small increase in measles this week, an indication that the outbreak of the disease slows down, although exposure to a crowded airport in Colorado and the Shakira party in New Jersey keeps public health experts on their toes.
On Friday, the centers of diseases control and prevention said that there are 1046 cases of confirmed measles, an increase of 22 over last week. Texas, with the country’s largest outbreak in the late winter and spring, erupted only 10 cases last week, bringing the total 728.
There are three other major outbreaks in North America. One in Ontario, Canada, resulted in 1795 cases from mid -October to 20 May, an increase of 173 cases per week. Another in Alberta, Canada, 538 died until Thursday. The Mexican state of Chihuahua was 1578 of measles and three deaths from Friday, according to data from the state Ministry of Health.
Since the outbreak of the American southwest, two primary school children have died at the earthquake center in West Texas and an adult in New Mexico due to measles. They were all immune.

How many measles are in Texas?
State health officials said on Friday that there are 728 cases in 34 provinces, most of them in West Texas.
