US Marshal shares how fugitive task force arrested 7 murder suspects in 10 days

ASAN (KXAN) – The United States Live Star (LSFTF) announced in a press statement on May 16 that he arrested seven suspects wanted on murder charges for 10 days.

Brandon Villa, with US guards, spoke with KXan on Monday about arrests.

“It is very noticeable,” Villa said. “It was not planned. It was dispersed within a period of 10 days, an issue.

KXAN previously mentioned the arrests, which LSFTF said it is connected to these cases:

  • October 14, 2023 Veliciano Alvarado Laguj was killed
  • March 10, Jimmy White was killed
  • March 31, Rex Johnson was killed
  • April 20, killings of Kendrick Parker and Shamar Roche
  • May 3, Anthony Salas was killed
  • May 15, Jonathon Cruz was killed

“I think anyone who commits a kind of violent act that takes the life of another person tells you that it is a violent issue, and this is what this work group was specifically appointed, is to address this type of violent criminal activity, where there is an order to arrest him, which is our mission to implement this,” said Villa.

LSFTF includes resources from Austin Police departments, George Town, Rock Rock, San Marcus and Sharif offices in Caldwell, Paesh, Tarfis and Williamson. The Prosecutor’s Office in Texas, the Ministry of Criminal Justice and Public Safety Administration, as well as the US Department of Internal Security, provides support to LSFTF.
