The Kremlin said in a statement that President Vladimir Putin “was briefed on the situation” and received updates from the Federal Security Service and the Ministry of Emergency.
Andre Kovalinko, head of the counter-reproduction center, which works as part of the National Security and Defense Council in Ukraine, questioned suggestions about the Ukrainian participation in a telegram publication-linking allegations with the planned peace conversations planned on Monday in Istanbul, Turkey.
“It seems that the Kremlin is preparing for the ground to disrupt the conversations,” Kovalinko wrote. “Ukraine has no motivation to disrupt the Istanbul summit. On the contrary, Ukraine has agreed to a long ceasefire. Therefore, the railway war in World War II style is an argument for Russian propaganda, not our policy tool.”
In the past, Ukrainian intelligence services called for their responsibility for attacks on railways in Russia aimed at hindering military logistics services in Moscow, with reports on intentional burning and other sabotage against Russian railways without clearly demanding.
