Trump’s envoy meets Putin ahead of Russia-Ukraine peace deadline, the Kremlin says

The Kremlin, Russian President Vladimir Putin, said talks with US President Donald Trump Steve Witkev in Moscow on Wednesday, days before the final date of the White House of Russia to reach a peace agreement with Ukraine or may face severe economic sanctions that could strike the countries that buy their oil.

The meeting between Putin and Witkoff lasted for about three hours. Putin’s foreign affairs advisor, Yuri Ushakov, said that Putin and Witfouf have a “useful and constructive conversation” focused on the Ukrainian crisis, and in a sign of improving relations between Washington and Moscow, “the possibilities of possible development of strategic cooperation between the United States and Russia.”

Earlier, Wittakouf Benzouf, early in the morning, across Zaryadi Park, in the stone goal of the Kremlin, with Creyle Dmitriev, the Russian President for Investment and Economic Cooperation. “The dialogue will prevail.”.

Dmitriev has played a major role in three rounds of direct talks between delegations from Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul in recent months, as well as discussions between Russian and American officials. The negotiations did not make any progress in ending a three -year war after Russia invaded its neighbor.

Trump’s deadline for Putin ends on Friday. Washington threatened “severe definitions” and other economic sanctions if the killing did not stop.

Trump has expressed his increasing frustration with Putin due to the escalating strikes of Russia on the civilian regions of Ukraine, which aims to erode the morale and the general appetite for war. Intensive attacks occurred even with Trump urged the Russian leader in recent months to decline.

The Russian forces said overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday, and the Russian forces hit an entertainment center in the southern Zaburisia region of Ukraine, killing two people and wounding 12, including two children, the regional governor of Ivan Fedorov on Wednesday.

Russian forces released at least four strikes on the area and initially attacked with strong slide bombs.

“There is no military meaning in this strike. Only the cruelty of intimidation.”

Zelinski said that Russia hit the Ukrainian energy network and facilities to heat and cook cooking gas, while Ukraine is preparing for the winter.

Western analysts and Ukrainian officials say Putin stops time and avoids serious negotiations while Russian forces are pressuring to seize more Ukrainian lands. The Russian attack, which started in the spring, is expected to continue during the fall, is progressing faster than last year, but it only achieves slow and costly gains and was unable to take any major cities.

Analysts say that the situation on the confrontation line is very important for the Ukrainian forces, but the defenses are not about to collapse.

On Tuesday, Trump said, “We will see what is happening” with regard to his threat to manufacture definitions on countries that buy Russian oil, which can increase import taxes significantly on China and India.

“We have a meeting with Russia tomorrow,” Trump said. “We’ll see what will happen. We will enter this design at that time.”

The president said he did not publicly commit to a specific tariff.

The escalation of diplomatic and economic pressure on the dangers of Kremlin that raises international tensions amid the exacerbation of relations between Russia and the United States.

Putin has not given any hint that he might be ready to make concessions. Instead, the Russian leader and senior Kremlin officials talked about the country’s military force.

Putin announced last week that the new high -speed missile of Russia, which he says cannot be intercepted by the current NATO defense systems, has entered service.

Russia announced on Tuesday that it no longer considers itself binding on a self -represented position in deploying the intermediate intermediate missiles that are compatible with the nucleus, a warning that may pave the way for the new arms race.

In the meantime, former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev warned that the Ukraine war could bring Russia and the United States to an armed conflict. Trump responded to this by requesting the re -placement of American nuclear submarines.

A spokesman for Carmelin Dmitry Peskov welcomed Monday a visit to Witkeov. “We consider (talks with Witkeov) very important, objective and useful,” he said.

Trump initially gave Moscow a final date for 50 days, but later moved to his warning as the Kremlin continued to bomb Ukrainian cities.

However, Trump questioned himself of his effectiveness, saying on Sunday that Russia has proven “very good to avoid sanctions.”

He said on the authority of the Russians: “They are sad characters.”

The Kremlin insisted that the international sanctions imposed since its invasion of its neighbor in February 2022 had a limited impact.

Ukraine maintains the sanctions that affect the war machine in Moscow and wants to bring them to Western allies.
