Timothée Chalamet may have shaven his head for Dune: Messiah – Socialite Life

Timothée Chalamet has ignited fan theories about the upcoming final chapter of Dune, potentially starting production soon, after being spotted with what appears to be a freshly shaved head.

The star was seen in Saint Tropez on July 7th, wearing a navy baseball cap with a green scarf tied at the back, seemingly trying to conceal the buzz cut visible at his neck.

Having just completed filming his lead role in the upcoming A24 sports film Marty Supreme, which is scheduled to hit theaters on December 25th, 2025, Chalamet had also removed the pencil mustache he’d grown for that character.

The dramatic hair transformation has led many to believe that Chalamet is preparing to return to filming for the third installment of the Dune saga, titled Dune Messiah, which is expected to release in 2026.

Adding fuel to these rumors, his primary co-star Zendaya was photographed arriving in Budapest, Hungary – the planned filming location – also on July 7th.

While director Denis Villeneuve is currently focused on bringing Dune Messiah to life, news recently broke that he’s been tapped as the next James Bond director, making him the first to helm the franchise under its new Amazon MGM Studios ownership.

While Villeneuve’s appointment answers one major question, the mystery of who will step into the iconic role of 007 remains unsolved. Aaron Taylor-Johnson is currently considered the frontrunner, especially after dodging questions about his post-28 Years Later plans.
