Thousands join 'overwhelmingly peaceful' 'No Kings' protests across Bay Area

(BACN) – Tens of thousands of demonstrators in cities throughout the Gulf region came out on Saturday, including San Francisco as part of the “no kings” demonstrations at the country level against the Donald Trump administration, including immigration raids at workplaces, courts and schools, and expanded in the executive authority in several regions.

An alliance organized by popular organizations, trade unions, legal and non -profit groups under the slogan “No Kings” said that the demonstrations were held in 2100 cities and societies and drew an estimated 5 million participants, but the numbers are still in the flow on Saturday afternoon with the continuation of some demonstrations, and the figures were not determined.

The demonstrators gathered in public places in San Francisco, Oakland, Birkeli, Sonoma and many other societies, who object to the measures taken by the federal government called by authoritarian and anti -democracy demonstrators.

The demonstrators carried signs and gathered against Trump’s actions, including dozens of executive orders that were issued since he became president, raids, illegal discoveries by federal immigration authorities, attacks on the federal judiciary, attempts to punish law firms and higher education institutions, and target local officials of arrest in speech and procedures.

The protests were coordinated on three overlapping occasions: Flag Day was on Saturday, but it was also the 250th anniversary of the establishment of the American army, and Trump’s birthday. Plan for a military parade in Washington, DC to celebrate the day.

Its expansion in the executive authority also comes a year after the US Supreme Court bites it that presidents have the right to obtain widespread immunity from the claim to the official actions they take in office.

The president’s actions ranged from difficult political standards to breaking federal law and brought hundreds of lawsuits from civil rights groups and those targeted by the administration, including lawyers, legal immigrants, Harvard University, sexually transformed military personnel, and others.

The Ministry of Emergency Administration in San Francisco estimated that tens of thousands of people went out at the civil center in San Francisco on Saturday at about one o’clock in the evening. A spokesman for the department said that the demonstration was largely peaceful with “limited incidents of violence and sabotage” and there are no serious injuries. The protest ended around 3:30 pm

In a video posted on social media at 3:46 pm on Saturday, the mayor of San Francisco Daniel Laurie presented an update from the Emergency Operations Center.

“The demonstrations have greatly ended,” Mayor Lori said. “Bigly peacefully. Really proud how San Franciscan appears this morning until early in the afternoon. The application of local law is still completely widespread because we have a lot of events that occur throughout the city. Moni resumes regular operations. This center will remain open, so we maintain the safety of everyone.”

Today’s demonstrations were organized in the city by SF and 50501 retail organizations and began gathering in the sunset garden in Ocen Beach, where the group formed a “human banner”.

Then the demonstrators gathered at the Dolores Park, in the mission area, at approximately 11:30 am before walking a tendency to the civil center, where a large crowd gathered to gather in the steps of the city hall.

The joint video on social media from Senator Scott Winner, de San Francisco showed a huge crowd of demonstrators walking on Dolores Street, some with American flags, and many signs that denounce American tyranny, immigration, enforcement of customs, support for migrants and the United States constitution.

The administration has challenged federal law in multiple ways, including recently, the California National Guard Command regarding the opposition of the Gavin New Zoom. A federal judge ruled that the administration had acted illegally and ordered the leadership to the ruler. The Court of Appeal remained the ruling while the case is moving forward, with a hearing on Tuesday.

Trump also blocked and tried to withhold funding from states and federal programs that have already been allocated by Congress. The administration arrested legal residents, detained American citizens and American citizens. His administration has sought to delete health data online, take a tax exemption at Harvard University, and to punish law firms for the work they did with Democratic customers and other measures that broke federal law.

He threatened his administration in the prison leaders of the cities of the local haven and arrested a local judge in Milwoki, the mayor of Newark, New Jersey, and the muscle of the American Congress, and tries to prosecute them for separate incidents that involve the application of immigration. American Senator Alex Badilla also delivered California to the ground and registered his hands by FBI agents during a press conference held by the US Internal Security Minister on Thursday.
