Cam Skattebo is the newest running back to play for the New York Giants after he was selected with the 105th pick in the 2025 draft. The Arizona State alumnus brings his 5’9, 219-pound stature to New York, a Giants team that is desperate to get some wins on the board.
Recently, NFL fans torched the fourth-round pick as he failed to recognize some of the greatest players in NFL history.
NFL Fans React to Cam Skattebo Not Recognizing NFL Greats
On the St. Brown Podcast, Skattebo found himself under fire as he was unable to pick out Megatron and Brett Favre from the photos he was given.
It took quite a few hints before Skattebo figured out Calvin Johnson, but the 23-year-old pointed out that Favre was before his time. While he knew Baker Mayfield from the iconic photo remake, Favre is one he was unable to guess correctly.

It’s easy for NFL fans to sit back on their couch and name NFL legends, and while there’s no real excuse for Skattebo to not know some of the best, it certainly doesn’t affect the way he plays on the field. If his time at ASU proved anything, it’s that Giants fans should remain optimistic about his future.
In his college career, Skattebo began at Sacramento State. As a Hornet, he put up his career high of 1,372 rushing yards in 2022. With an average of seven yards per carry, he made sure to get the most out of his 195 carries. The next year, he had just 164 carries at ASU and turned them into 783 yards. While his average went down to 4.8 yards per carry, he increased his total number of touchdowns from seven to nine.
No doubt about it, the 23-year-old put in the best work of his career in 2024. With 293 carries, nearly 100 more than his previous career high, Skattebo finished the season with 1,711 yards and a total of 21 touchdowns. To put it into perspective, Skattebo had just 22 total touchdowns in his first three years combined.
