With thousands of demonstrators and law enforcement in the center of Los Angeles during the weekend raids by migration and customs enforcement agents, Mayor Karen Bass held a press conference on Sunday on the ongoing turmoil.
Citing statements made by the governor of the state, Gavin News, and other state officials, Bass, President of Trump and Federal leaders, made the Federal Pistol to the National Guard of the state.
“Let’s be real in this matter. This is a matter of another agenda. It is not related to public safety,” Bass said at the press conference.
The mayor pointed out that the first amendment allows residents to protest in peace, but the demonstrators do not give the right to violence and sabotage in property, and that these types of procedures will not be tolerated.

Bass then installed him to several raids at the workplace conducted by ICE agents on Friday, which ignited the demonstrations in the city.
She said, “Initially, the administration said they were only searching for dangerous criminals, violent people.” ))
The mayor said that many detainees were not allowed to speak with the legal advisor and that these arrests have left separate families and fear, which will happen to their loved ones.
Bass said that she is dealing with questions from journalists, that she is talking to federal officials during the past few days, although the president was not himself, and she expressed disappointment, saying that she was trying to prevent this situation.
“I was trying to encourage the administration that if they published the National Guard in Los Angeles, this will create a feeling of chaos. It is the last thing our city needs,” she said. “Our city is still trying to recover from forest fires.”
When asked if she was concerned about the safety of law enforcement on the ground, the mayor said it was concerned about everyone, from the police to the demonstrators to small companies and the city’s residents.
