‘Thank You Steelers’ –Cowboys Fans React to George Pickens’ Sensational Game vs. Packers in CeeDee Lamb’s Absence

The Dallas Cowboys just treated the NFL world to a thrilling primetime finish. They built the drama for this game by trading Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers, and it certainly lived up to the hype as the game finished in a tie. In Parsons’ return to Dallas, it wasn’t Parsons who stole the show. It was the Cowboys’ new acquisition, George Pickens, who shredded the Packers’ defense all night long.

Cowboys fans took to social media to give Pickens his flowers for his electric performance.

Cowboys Fans Praise George Pickens’ SNF Performance

The Cowboys acquired Pickens in a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers to take the attention off of star WR CeeDee Lamb and give Dak Prescott another weapon on the outside. Tonight proved why they went out and got him, despite Lamb being out with an injury. Fans were ready to shower Pickens with praise for his performance.

One fan thanked the Steelers for parting ways with Pickens and sending him to Dallas.

“Thank you Steelers for George Pickens,” the fan said.

His talent was on display in flashes in Pittsburgh, but he didn’t always get the shine. Now, in primetime, it was on full display for the world to see.

“Turns out George Pickens is still very good at football,” one fan said.

“Hes a number 1 with a serious offense,” another fan added.

Other fans had short and simple descriptions of Pickens.

A fan chimed in with, “Alpha.”

Pickens’ performance was pivotal for the Cowboys offense to threaten that Green Bay secondary without Lamb. It is scary to imagine what the offense could look like with Pickens and Lamb healthy and playing to their full potential.

“George Pickens has been a difference maker for the cowboys with Lamb out,” said a fan.

Some fans even began to question whether Lamb is the top wide receiver on the team when he returns from injury.

“The way Pickens playing Lamb might not Ceedee WR1 spot again,” said one fan.

Another fan even said that Pickens was better than Lamb.

“I stand by my George Pickens>>>>CeeDee Lamb take,” said the fan.

One fan took it to the extreme by questioning Lamb’s future on the team despite signing a large extension in the 2024 offseason.

“There is no way in he*l I would continue to have CeeDee Lamb on the roster with thay contract when I have another receiver on the roster who is just as good. Hell Pickens is probably better because he can catch. I would roll Turpin & Pickens and get a player and some picks for Lamb. Use that 136 million that youre paying Lamb on some other good players,” one fan said.

Regardless, Pickens will earn himself a nice payday if he keeps playing like this.

“Georges Pickens eating Gucci tonight. Lamb’s injury gonna get him paid. This game will be the reference,” one fan said.

The Pickens performance on Sunday Night Football was one of the premier performances by a wideout so far in 2025. Now, he will look to build on it while Lamb is out, as the Cowboys look to get their season back on track after coming away with a tie against a tough Packers squad.
