Tesla cars are trapping children inside: NHTSA

San Francisco-Tesla Model y owners report a worrying technical problem with high-tech electric cars that close children at home.

“The most common scenarios that were reported included the parents coming out of the car after the driving cycle in order to remove a child from the back seat or put a child in the back seat before the start of a engine cycle. The parents were unable to reopen the door to restore access to the car,” which is the investigation report conducted by the US National Traffic Safety Department on the highway.

NHTSA Investigation has received nine separate reports on the problem from Tesla Model Y 2021.

In four accidents, parents resorted to breaking the windows to restore the entry. “Although Tesla vehicles have manual versions of the doors inside the cabin, in these cases, the child may not be able to reach or operate versions even if the car driver is familiar with them. The deviation in a vehicle is particularly related in emergency situations, as when children are detained in a hot vehicle,”

Based on the preliminary review of ODI, the problem appears to occur when the electronic doors are locks enough effort from the car. Model Y Malekins said they did not see any low warnings of the voltage battery before the external door handles became broken.

Problems have also been reported to lock doors in Tesla from the collisions that left Tesla electronic company in fire, and it appears that drivers and passengers are closed at home.

In Pidmont, four university students were held inside a group of the Internet after its crash, exploded in the fire, and died three. Surin Dixon, 19, Jacques Nelson, 20, and Christkahara, 19 years old, died of smoke and severe burns on November 27, 2024, according to the autopsy report.

A witness saved one of Piedmont Cyblertruck by breaking a window using a tree branch. The witness said that he had to hit the window from 10 to 15 times before it was broken. The witness told the Republican People’s Party, “I went back to the broken window and shouted to them to try to go out in this window. Christa tried to come, and stuck her head from behind. She grabbed her arm to try to withdraw it towards me, but she retreated because of the fire.”

In April, a college’s basketball recruiter said that he was “fighting time” in an attempt to get out of his electric, which he ignited after a tree was destroyed and could not open his door. Southern California University player, Ali Arenas, moved to the back seat and tried to get out of the window, but he was unable to do so. Arenas said he tried to use his digital key to escape, just to find the Tesla app that closed it.

The squares cleared himself with a bottle of water to cool his body and spent nearly 10 minutes in the burning car before finally getting out of the driver window.

NHTSA said it would continue to monitor the reports of the inception to investigate Tesla technology.
