San Francisco (Kron) – San Francisco Bay is expected to see the highest temperature of the year so far on Friday. Most of the region is under heat consulting, which comes into effect on Friday from 11 am to 8 pm, according to national weather service.
Weather officials said the temperatures are likely to reach 104 degrees. The internal Gulf and the central coast is expected to receive the high temperature.
In the eastern Gulf, it will exceed Antioch, Concorde and Livermore. Novato and Naba in the northern Gulf will witness the rise in temperatures to the mid -1990s. South Bay’s temperatures may also reach 100s, with Morgan Hill expected in 99.
Population officials urge to take additional precautions when they are out of intense heat, including maintaining moisture and taking additional rest periods.
NWS said the dry and wind conditions, which are expected until Saturday, could make it easier for fires to start and spread quickly. To prevent forest fires from igniting, the agency suggests a proper extinguishing of cigarettes, keeping the water stored near the camps and grills fire, and avoiding using the equipment that creates sparks and securing clouds to ensure that they are not dragged.
Hit Spick’s height is not expected to continue, with a slowdown on Sunday and early next week, according to weather officials.
