Teen suspect arrested after deadly Aurora crash that killed woman, teen on Sunday

Denver (KDVR)-Aurora Police arrested a driver on Wednesday who was involved in a deadly multi-vehicle crash on Sunday, leaving a 15-year-old girl and a 37-year-old woman.

Olivin Lydinis Karamo Miza, 18, from Aurora, was booked at the municipality detention center on Wednesday regarding an investigation into two vehicle murder charges. According to court records, official charges have not yet been brought against, but Carcamo-Meza is scheduled to be shown in depositing the charge hearing on July 29.

According to the Aurora Police Department, a triple car crash occurred at around 2:45 am on Sunday at the intersection of South Airport Street and East Olaida. The officers have identified a 15 -year -old girl and a 37 -year -old woman at the scene, both dead.

The agency said that the investigators decided that Carcamo-Meza was driving his car north on South Airport Street in a black sedan. The police claim that they failed to stop a red light and hit the white Hyundai sedan with the two victims inside. Hyundai was traveling west on Olaida Street, according to Urra Police.

The Toyota sedan, which was stopped in a corridor, was hit after the initial collision. Toyota driver was slightly injured in the accident.

Police said Carcamo-MEZA was seriously injured but not life and was transferred to a local hospital. On Wednesday, after his release from the hospital, he was arrested.
