Tamra Judge is once again at the center of controversy after posting a statement on Instagram that not only referenced her personal struggles but also took what many are calling a pointed jab at former close friend Shannon Beador.
In a post intended to shed light on her mental health battles, Tamra wrote:
“God forbid you guys ever have to deal with the pain & depression I was dealing with.
They wonder why I left?
Maybe I should of gotten a DUI to feel compassion.”
Though Tamra doesn’t mention Shannon by name, the reference to a DUI unmistakably alludes to Beador’s widely publicized arrest in 2023. The post comes shortly after Tamra publicly expressed confusion over why Shannon “can’t move on” from past issues, making the decision to bring up such a sensitive subject appear, at best, tone-deaf and, at worst, intentionally inflammatory.
The remark didn’t go unnoticed. Real Housewives of Orange County castmate Gretchen Rossi took to her Instagram Stories to address Tamra’s comments, writing:

“I just got sent this post that Tamra did, and I have to say this really rubs me the wrong way.”
Rossi then followed up with a lengthy statement criticizing Judge for what she sees as a longstanding pattern of hypocrisy and lack of empathy:
“YES Tamra I have actually dealt with the pain & depression you are talking about & it was horrible (remember my fiancé actually died, & Slade’s son actually died from cancer) but you had not one once of grace for us.
Instead you spun lies about me & Jeff & plotted with the guy (who I took to court and now have 7 counts against & over a million dollar judgement) to cause me pain & suffering during that time.”
She went on to call out Tamra’s alleged behavior in the aftermath of personal tragedies, both hers and Shannon’s:
“And then you went on your podcast & made false statements about Slade & I after his son died & spin lies about us again. With no remorse for your actions…only excuses, like you always do.
You never gave us grace, & you never gave your bestie Shannon grace when she was going through the worst time in her life.
Instead you buddied up to Alexis, & called Shannon every name in the book last year.
So this is pretty rich coming from you.”
While Tamra’s intention may have been to speak candidly about her own mental health struggles, the choice to reference Shannon’s DUI, especially after criticizing her for not letting go of past issues, has been widely interpreted as yet another instance of Tamra using personal matters to make a public statement at someone else’s expense.
With Gretchen stepping in to remind followers of Tamra’s past behavior and double standards, it’s clear that tensions among the RHOC alumni are far from resolved.
