SWIZZ BEATZ, ALICIA KEYS, AND MASHONDA CELEBRATE KASSEEM DEAN JR.’S GRADUATION

Swizz Beatz and Mashonda’s son, Kasseem Dean Jr., is officially a high school graduate!

To celebrate the milestone, his parents along with Swizz’ wife, Alicia Keys, hosted a pool party over Memorial Day weekend.

Taking to instagram on Sunday, Swizz shared photos and videos from the party, giving fans a peek at the celebration.

“@yayachronicles gassed us up to let him have the graduation pool party,” the proud dad captioned the post. “I said yes because he’s been amazing and totally deserves it MR NYU.”

He also added, “I had the honor of playing lifeguard and the DJ from my phone. The last slide is my fav. Congrats to the class of 2025.”

The final slide showed a sweet moment when Kasseem’s sister Nicole surprised him at the party.

Also in attendance were Egypt, 14, and Genesis, 10, Swizz’s children with Alicia Keys.

Alicia posted her own video from the party, capturing a light moment of Swizz keeping an eye on the scene.

“When Dad said he was going to give them some space!!!,” she joked. “FYI Dad was DJing from the phone!! Congratulations @yayachronicles and the #classof2025!!! We are soooooo proud and excited for you to step into your next chapter.”

Kasseem, who turned 18 in December, found out he had been accepted into New York University on his birthday, a full-circle moment, considering Swizz Beatz became a Producer in Residence at NYU’s Clive Davis Institute in 2010.

And while music may run in the family, Kasseem might also have a future in writing. His mom recently praised his talent for heartfelt expression. “My son has a remarkable talent for writing letters/notes— they resonate deeply, soul touching,” Mashonda wrote. “It’s like he’s curating your emotions with every chosen word. I hope he continues to express his life experiences, love, and personal growth through his writing for many years ahead.”
