Survey finds 'digital addiction' soaring among Baby Boomers

A new survey indicate that many children’s births are struggling with excessive digital use, with nearly half of the spending more than three hours a day on their smartphones and a large number of anxiety when separated.

The poll conducted AdDizationresource.net2000 adults between the ages of 59 to 77 around their digital habits and found signs of emotional dependence, compulsive behavior and the difficulty of reducing the screen time.

“These behaviors indicate that a noticeable part of the Baby Boomer generate models related to digital addiction,” said the report, “such as the use of the prolonged device, emotional dependence, and the difficulty of reducing the screen time.”

Experts say adults who spend more than six hours a day on screens are at risk of depression. Although screen addiction is not defined by time alone, experts recommend recreational use to stay less than two hours per day.
