Rich people are paying up to $350,000 to flee the Middle East on private planes as missiles continue to hit the region.
Rich elites living in Dubai and Abu Dhabi have been frantically reaching out to private security companies to find a way out after the US and Israel targeted Iran in coordinated attacks over the weekend. Semaphore reported.
Some are willing to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to travel by car 10 hours to Saudi Arabia where they can then charter private jets to Europe.
“Saudi Arabia is the only real option for people who want to get out of the region at the moment,” said Amira Naran, CEO of private jet brokerage Vimana Private.
Among those trying to escape are top executives at global finance companies and the region’s wealthy people on vacation.
Ian McCall, who works for UK-based security firm Alma Risk, said: “We have been contacted by a mix of clients, including families, individuals and businesses who want to move out of the area either because they fear for their safety, or for business reasons they just need to be able to travel.”
