Chatfield Reservoir, Colo. (KDVR) – The rain and strong winds in the metro area affected thousands in the metro area during the weekend.
Floods caused a backup copy of the traffic on the north of 25 north of Arabahu on Sunday. The Cheles Ward and other lakes sat empty while storms passed through Colorado.
Some in Chatfield Reservoir challenge rain, and choose to enjoy some hunting.
“It is a fun feeling,” said Ava Williams.
Powers joined others in the marina who clouded their boats during the storm.
Ms. Powell said: “We are wrinkled in the boat and enjoy it, and watching the weather comes,” said Ms. Powell.
There are 4000 lakes and tanks in Colorado. Colorado Parks and wildlife warn that heavy spring rains along with snow melted warmer temperatures that can cause serious conditions everywhere with water levels rapidly.
“It is a little frightening,” Williams said.
CPW encourages anyone who plans to enjoy the open air to schedule flights based on information from weather reports and appropriate equipment packages.
One visitor said: “I only got some rain equipment to keep you dry, as you know, as long as you are ready, in Colorado, you can go out and do anything.”
Snow melting on mountain peaks also creates muddy paths, very cold water in tables, lakes and cabinets, as well as strong currents.
Colorado ranked fourth in the country because of the risk of boats in 2024. CPW says that survival jackets are required for minors, including those who flow and participate in other water sports. Survival jackets can also help maintain the essential body temperature at cold temperatures in the event of an emergency.
Additional rain can increase the growth of plants and weeds, which, after drying, can increase the risk of forest fires. CPW says that the population and visitors should be keen to follow up on fire safety guidelines and prevent the misuse of flammable materials or anything that can cause sparks, such as allowing minerals to pull from the bottom of the vehicles.
