If you’re ready for some Halloween fun, Discovery Cube Orange County’s Pumpkin Palooza is back with two floors of scary science, sustainability, and pumpkin-based excitement.
The family-friendly festival, presented by OC Waste & Recycling, runs weekends through October 26 and features everything from bumper cars to composting classes — plus the all-new Pumpkin Path, an interactive maze filled with games and surprises.
KTLA’s “Pumpkin Princess” Erin Myers joined the festivities in Santa Ana, where kids and families can explore hands-on exhibits and learn how even Halloween can be sustainable.
“So that’s what we do best here at Discovery Cube — we make learning fun,” said Sherri White, the center’s vice president of marketing. “Here you get to enjoy all the fun and festive activities, but you also learn a lot about them.”
At this event children can experience the organic materials maze, sorting out what is biodegradable and what is not.
“I’m trying to figure out what’s organic and what’s not,” one young visitor explained. “It’s so much fun just to learn.”
The fun continues upstairs at the Pumpkin Palooza Dance Party, where fan favorite Jack-o-Lynn, a 20-foot-tall DJ, spins Halloween songs while kids dance and learn about healthy living.
The Pumpkin Palooza runs Saturdays and Sundays through October 26. Tickets and details are available at discoverycube.org.
