Menabolis – Her family said in a statement that a 12 -year -old girl shot her head during the deadly attack on a Catholic church in Minneapolis less than a month ago a “miracle” progress.
Her family said that Sofia Forsas, who was seriously wounded among those who survived the fire in the Annunciation Church, will move this week from severe care to the rehabilitation program for internal patients.
While its medical team is still optimistic with caution, the family said that Sofia shows signs of nervous recovery a few weeks after not making sure that doctors are not sure whether they will survive.

Her family said in the statement issued on Monday from Henipin Health Care: “Sofia is strong and courageous and does not shake her battle towards healing.
Sofia and her colleagues at Al -Bashara Catholic School celebrate the first mass of the new academic year when the shooter opened the fire through a window, killed two students and wounded 21 people. Police said the shooter died of suicide.
Sofia’s mother, a nurse at Heennepin Healthcare, did not know that she had been shot until after she came to work to help treat the shooting victims.
Sofia underwent emergency surgery. Her neurosurgeon, Dr. Walt Gallic, said that a bullet was placed in her brain, causing severe damage, including a large blood vessel. The surgeons had to remove the left half of its skull to relieve pressure inside her head.
“Although she is still in front of a long journey, full of wide treatment, her flexibility still inspires hope in every step,” her family said.
