Founded by Stephens in 2013, the foundation focuses on empowering children worldwide to dream big and succeed both on and off the court. It provides a supportive educational environment that helps children stay confident in pursuing any goal, whether in life or in becoming a tennis superstar.

The Sloane Stephens Foundation is deeply engaged in the Compton community, running tennis and education programs for local youth. Recently, the SSF Day in the city brought together numerous enthusiastic children on the court, where they participated in several fun activities, including hitting with the 2017 US Open champion. The 32-year-old even shared a few highlights from the event on her Instagram story.

The experience was elevated further by the presence of ATP World No. 6 Taylor Fritz. The 28-year-old also made a special appearance at SSF Day, allowing the young aspirants to rally with him on court. Stephens later shared a group photograph from the court featuring Fritz and the children on her Instagram story, writing:

“Special thanks to you, Taylor Fritz, for coming out to the play day and supporting the kids!”

Fritz reciprocated the gratitude by sharing Stephens’ Instagram story and writing,” Thanks for having me.”

By combining accredited after-school curricula, college readiness initiatives, and engaging Net Gen tennis programs, the Sloane Stephens Foundation equips underserved students with the resources needed to thrive both academically and beyond. Since its launch in 2013, the foundation has reached and supported more than 10,000 students nationwide.

Stephens has had a limited on-court presence in a season marred by a foot injury. She opened the season at the ASB Classic in Auckland and the Hobart International before exiting in the first round of the Australian Open. The foot issue emerged during her opening-round loss in Akron and sidelined the American for an extended period. She returned to competition in Guadalajara, where a first-round defeat marked her most recent appearance on the main tour.

Fritz, meanwhile, ended the season on a high with a 53-23 win-loss record and two titles, in Eastbourne and Stuttgart. The American finished the season as the World No. 6 and also earned a massive $5.4 million.
