Six arrested, firearms and narcotics seized by CBI, La Junta PD

(La Junta, COLO) – Six people were arrested, and a large amount of illegal firearms and drugs were seized when the CBI investigation office and the La Junta Police Department held a partnership in implementing an inspection order on a site claiming to be linked to criminal activity on Friday, August 29.

According to CBI, an inspection order was issued for a house in the 1300th Building of San Juan Street, near City Park in La Punta, which has long been a source of societal anxiety, after repeated complaints included the distribution of suspected drugs and other criminal activity. The law application has worked to collect intelligence that links the house with the possession and trafficking of the stolen firearms.

When the CBI and La Junta police arrived at the site, a man who was later identified as Ezekiel Aguar, an Ezekiel Aguar, tried to escape from the house, according to CBI, but was arrested in the backyard. Others inside the house initially refused to comply with orders to leave the house and tried to ban themselves inside.

After using the deadliest tactics, three people, Adriana Smith, 33, were ran out of the 28 -year -old from the home and were arrested, according to the Central Bank of Iraq. During the inspection of the house, the 30 -year -old Jacob Pots was found hidden in a wardrobe, and tried to fight the law before it was detained.

CBI reported that during the inspection of the house, six firearms were found, including a SKS battle rifle, as well as a near -homemade gun with a homemade inhibitor. Weapons were unlimited, lacking serial numbers, which are illegal in Colorado and under the National firearms law.

The application of the law also found a large amount of medications, according to CBI, including 143 grams of fentanel, which equals about 1430 tablets, and about 17 grams of metamphine. An unknown amount of money was also found.

CBI stated that while the officers were looking for the house, 41 -year -old Zakari James arrived and they were arrested on distinguished criminal orders.

According to CBI, six people were arrested, including:

  • Following obstruction and resistance to detention
  • Smith to obstruct
  • Jordan del Rio for illegal distribution, serious perpetrator, and obstruction
  • Jeremy del Rio for illegal distribution, special perpetrator’s dangerous weapons, obstruction, and arrest resistance
  • Auguil for distinguished arrest warrants
  • James for distinguished detention orders.

“This operation highlights the commitment of the Colorado Bureau of Colorado and the La Junta police administration to treat drug trafficking and firearms in our societies,” said Tod Kwik, La Ponta police chief. “The recovery of illegal weapons and dangerous drugs enhances the importance of cooperative law enforcement efforts to protect the citizens of La Junta and the state of Colorado.”
