Season 19 of The Real Housewives of Orange County premieres July 10 and Bravo just dropped a juicy sneak peek featuring AllAboutTRH. In the preview clip, Shannon Beador breaks down some behind-the-scenes drama between cast member Emily Simpson and newcomer Katie Ginella.
According to Shannon, things got tense over a comment involving Emily’s kids—and how Katie’s daughter, Kaili, may have spilled a little too much tea.
“Wait, so I was with Emily yesterday,” Shannon says in the scene. “There are certain things that you don’t go there. So with her kids, so what you brought up with your daughter…”
Katie responds casually, brushing it off: “I thought the thing with my daughter Kaili was such a nothing. I thought it was funny it turned into a big thing.”
So what happened, exactly?
Katie’s daughter Kaili had babysat for Emily’s kids. According to Kaili, the kids repeatedly said their mom didn’t like fellow Housewife Heather Dubrow. Naturally, that got around. But according to Shannon, the issue didn’t stop there.
“I think it was after that when Emily’s ex-nanny came forward,” Shannon clarifies.
Bravo then flashes to an exclusive article published by AllAboutTRH last year, where Emily’s former babysitter confirmed that Emily’s children did know a lot—and that Kaili wasn’t lying.
“Emily is saying you told the nanny where to put her information,” Shannon adds.
Katie, however, denies playing puppet master. In a confessional, she explains:
“After the reunion, Emily’s ex-nanny reached out to me and said, ‘Your daughter is not lying. This is my experience.’ And I said, ‘Well, I can’t do anything with it’—so I told her, ‘This is the podcast to speak with.’” Emily was referring to us at AllaboutTRH podcast.
Bravo then cuts to a clip of Kaili’s appearance on the AllAboutTRH podcast, confirming Katie’s account.
Katie makes it clear: once the nanny reached out to us, she stepped back. “From there, I had nothing to do with it,” she says.
