SF Mayor Lurie introduces 2-hour limit for RV parking

San Francisco (Crohn– San Francisco mayor Daniel Lori announced plans for a new procedure to reduce RV positions to two hours at the city level. Kron4 went to the city parking space to learn more.

In the famous RV area near the San Francisco State University, two people living in the neighborhood, wanting to not be identified, say they understand it is a complex problem but it contradicts.

Many RV residents did not want to speak on the camera. Defenders say that increasing the diameter and fines have already pushed a displaced group to the edge of the abyss. They want to work with the city to find a way forward, but they say that this new procedure is not the solution.

“RVS throughout San Francisco affects neighborhoods and public safety and most importantly, people’s lives. We change this starting from today,” Lori told a news conference on Tuesday morning.

If the “breaking the cycle” plan advances forward, anyone will be fined in large vehicles for more than two hours.

However, a six -month parking permit is offered to help transport.

The latest city data found that the number of people living in cars jumped 37 percent from 2022 to 2024 – up to approximately 1500 people.

The mayor suggested using $ 13 million in the next two years to help resell people living in RVS. This includes housing subsidies, vehicle replay program, and awareness and enforcement resources.
