Senators demand end to federal 'welfare checks' in Calif. schools

(Kron) – American Senator Alex Badilla and Adam Chef are calling on Fridays from the Trump administration about an attempt last week by HSI investigation agents to enter two primary schools in Los Angeles Province to question immigrant children.

HSI staff have been rejected by students by school administrators.

During a recent meeting with Senate members, HSI claimed that they went to LaUSD schools to conduct “social welfare checks” on the previously unacceptable migrant children. Badilla and Chef asked why HSI was not coordinated with the Ministry of Social Services in California, or schools, if they believed that migrant children were in danger.

Padilla and Chef expressed serious concerns about the ICE enforcement agents (ICE) that may enter schools without orders. Senate members said that HSI should not conduct any future “luxury checks” on primary school children.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Public Security said that HSI officers “were in these schools conducting net tests for children who have arrived without fierceness with the Harfa. This has nothing to do with the enforcement of immigration.

Chef and Badilla wrote a joint letter to the Trump administration on Friday, saying: “We are very concerned that HSI officers tried to interrogate many children, between the first and sixth grade, during the school day without contacting or coordination in advance with schools, parents, parents from schools or in a state of accumulated or income from schools. Schools without order.”

The members of the Senate said if Ice and HSI want to ensure the welfare of unaccompanied immigrant children, the agencies must urge the Federal Office to resettle refugees and the White House to restore legal and social services for these children, instead of exhausting them and their classmates.

The immigration policies of President Donald Trump have expanded to a large extent to qualify for deportation and a ban on the enforcement of immigration in schools.

The employees of the Los Angeles School area, the second largest region in the country, were trained months ago in anticipation of expatriates by federal agents to universities.

“I am proud of these schools. I am proud of religious employees in the front office because they did exactly what we trained to do,” said Los Angeles Alberto Carvalho.

“I am still not confusing about how the first, second, third, fourth or sixth grade will form any kind of risk to the national security of our nation, which will require internal security to publish its agents in two primary schools,” Carvalho said.
