The former Senate Trump’s lawyer Emile Bov 50-49 confirmed for life as a judge in the Federal Appeal Court on Tuesday, as Republicans rejected complaints of those whose behavior in the Ministry of Justice.
Pov, a former public prosecutor in the southern circle of New York, was on the Trump Legal Team during the trial of his money in New York and defended Trump in the two federal criminal cases. He will work in the Court of Appeal in the third American district, which hears cases from Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

The Democrats opposed the nomination of Bouf strongly, referring to his current position as an official in the Ministry of Justice and his role in dismissing the issue of corruption against the mayor of New York City Eric Adams. They also criticized his efforts to investigate administration officials who participated in the trials of hundreds of Trump supporters who participated on January 6, 2021, on the Capitol.
Bove accused the FBI officials of “rebellion” for refusing to hand over the names of the agents who investigated the attack and ordered the launch of a group of public prosecutors participating in these criminal cases on January 6.
Inviring violations are martyred by evidence against Bove
Democrats were also cited evidence of violations, a lawyer in the absolute administration last month that Bouv suggested that the Trump administration may need to ignore judicial orders – a claim that Buff is denied – and new evidence from one of the informants who have not previously been announced. This amount of violations recently presented an audio recording of Bove, which works to reflect some of his testimony in his confirmation session last month, according to two people familiar with registration.
The sound is discussed from a private video call in the Ministry of Justice in February, where Bov, the highest official in the department, discussed his treatment of the absolute issue against Adams, according to the written quotes of the sound reviewed by Associated Press.
People spoke on the condition that his identity was not disclosed because the amounts of violations did not make the audience registration. The demands of the violations were reported by the Washington Post.
None of these evidence has not yet been sufficient for the influence of Republicans in the Senate – all of them voted except for two to confirm Bove as the Republican Party members were postponed to Trump on almost all its choices.
Democrats say that Bov’s confirmation is a “dark day”
The Democratic Leader of the Senate Chuck Schumer, DN.Y, said that Poof’s assertion is a “dark day” and that Republicans only support Bouv because of his loyalty to the president.
Shomer said: “It is incomprehensible that after more than four years with a little rebellion in the Capitol, when rioters broke the windows, they looted the offices, and desecrated this hall, the Senate Republicans put a person on the bench who protected these riots from facing justice, who said that their simulation was a grave national harm.”
Republican Susan Collins voted from Min and Lisa Morkovsky from Alaska against Pop’s confirmation. “I don’t think someone has advised other lawyers that you should ignore the law, you must reject the law, I do not think that this individual should be placed in a lifelong seat on the bench,” said Morkovsky on Tuesday.
In his confirmation session last month, Bouv discussed criticism of his face -to -face work, and the legislators told that he understood some of his decisions “born controversy.” But Bouv said that it was inaccurately photographed as “followers” and “the port” of Trump in the department.
In a letter to the Judicial Committee of the Senate, which was issued on Tuesday evening, immediately before the vote, Bouv said that he does not have the registration of those informed of the violations, but it is “unknown in this distortion campaign.”
February call appears as a guide
In the hearing of the Judicial Committee, Bova asked about the February 14 invitation with the lawyers in the General Integrity Department of the Ministry of Justice, which received great public attention due to his unusual guidance that the lawyers have an hour to take a decision among themselves who agree to submit it on behalf of the administration to reject the case against Adams.
The invitation was conducted amid a major revolution in administration as two public prosecutors in New York who dealt with this issue, as well as some in Washington, rather than agreeing to dispense with the case.
According to a copy of the February call, Povor noticed near the start that the American Manhattan lawyer Daniel Sasson “resigned about ten minutes before we put it on leave waiting for the investigation.” But when he was asked in the hearing if he had opened the meeting by asserting that Sasson and another prosecutor refused to follow the orders and that Sasson would be re -set before her resignation, Bouv replied simple, “No.”, “No.”
In a letter to the Chairman of the Judicial Committee of the Senate Chuck Grassley, R-IOWA, Bove defended his testimony as accurate, indicating that the text of the call shows that he did not use the word “re-set” when speaking to the prosecutors.
At another moment, Pov said that he did not remember, saying that the text of the call reflects it, as he said – that everyone who signed the proposal to reject the Adams case would appear as leaders in the department.
But in the letter to Grasley, Pova said that he does not intend to point out that anyone will be rewarded for submitting the memorandum, but rather that doing so reflects in preparation for the follow -up of the leadership chain, which he said is the “minimum required for medium -level management” for a government agency.
Republicans dismantle “unfair accusations”
Grassley said on Tuesday that he believed that Bove will be “legal, able, able and fair.”
He said that his employees tried to investigate the allegations, but the lawyers for the sake of the violations will not give them all the articles they requested until Tuesday, hours before the vote. “The evil speech, unfair accusations and ill -treatment against Mr. Bouv” crossed the line. “
The first complaints of those whose violations against Bouv came from a former lawyer in the Ministry of Justice, who was expelled in April after he confessed to court that Kilmar Abrago Garcia, a Salvadori man who lived in Maryland, had been deported to El Salvador prison.
Lawyer, Eris Ruvenini, described the efforts made by senior officials of the Ministry of Justice in the weeks before the shooting of Stonnol and misleading judges to carry out deportations paid at the White House.
Reuveni described a meeting of the Ministry of Justice in March on Trump’s plans to summon the law of foreign enemies over what the president claimed to be invaded by the Venezuelan gang, Trine de Aragoa. Ruvenini said that Bouv raised the possibility that the court would prevent deportation before it happened. Reuveni attorneys in the deposit said that Uveni claims that Bove used profanity words to say that the administration will need to think about informing the courts of what to do and “ignore any such something.”
“He does not remember saying anything of this kind.”
