Gomari Callasan was seen last near the Paradise Kreik Bridge along the central fork of the Kawa River in the garden foothills. Officials said she was with friends and family when she was arrested in the strong cold current.

After nine days of intense research by multiple agencies, the National Park Service officials said that the crews had moved to the “limited continuous situation”, where they got less resources while continuing to monitor the river.

Officials believe that Calasanz can still be within the boundaries of the garden, but the current conditions make it unsafe for divers to conduct underwater research.

Search efforts included land, fangs, underwater cameras, helicopters and drones.

NPS officials said: “We are grateful for assistance for our neighboring agencies and to all people who participated in the search for Gomari,” said NPS officials.

Garden officials continue to urge visitors to stay outside the river and away from its banks, warning that the surface flow from the melting of the snow made the water both cold and the rapid move in a deceptive manner. Even quiet sections can overcome experienced swimmers, wet rocks near the edge of the river are very spot.
