Scheffler, Spieth make cut at difficult US Open

Austin (KXAN) – It was known that it would be a difficult weekend in the US Open 2025. With the leader sat alone in the third after two days, this was definitely true.

Sam Burns leads to -3, with only other players under equality after the second round on Friday. JJ Spaun, who leads after one round, shot 72 on Friday and is now sitting at -2. Viktor Hovland impressed on Friday with 68 to make it to one under equality.

Longhorn Scottie Scheffler was the preferred weekend at OakMont Country Club. The 2025 PGA championship winner finds himself amazingly in four.

Sheffler improved the degree of the opening round of 73 by obtaining 71 on Friday. It is linked for 23.

Former Texas colleague Jordan Sbeith is one shot behind Sheffler after two rounds. A frustrating day that included a double ghost in nine has appeared more than he wanted, but firmly.

The third round is available for viewing from 11:00 am on Saturday.
