Sarkisian calls on high school, college coaches to 'corral' Texas in recruiting

Austin – as much as the Texas coach Steve Sarkissian, everyone has a role to maintain the best talents within the borders of the state of Lun Star.

Sarkissian joined other university trainers at the School and School of Trainers at Texas High School on Sunday in San Antonio, and his message was clear – coaches in Texas needed all levels, including, to be better in the convincing recruits not to leave the state.

“I hope we can determine the matter a little better than we have, and this will be a goal for me over the next 12 to 24 months,” he said. “I don’t think it is just the University of Texas. I think all the schools concerned to achieve this. I think there is a responsibility in our end. I think there is a responsibility of high school coaches to do so, because I think we all love players who play football in high schools in Texas.”

To the balance of Sarkissian, he did a good job in recruiting Texas recently. He had the 23 best national players in the past two seasons, and 19 Texas. He admitted that there are many players in Texas, regardless of how difficult everyone tries, some will leave the college programs in other states. He realizes that there are restrictions, but this does not mean that everyone cannot unify the issue.

“There are a lot of really good schools in our state … I think as much as people see us and perhaps some other schools in our state to employ them outside the state. I think that many schools are recruiting in our mandate as well, and many players are more willing to leave the state.” “I will praise all programs … There are a lot of great programs in our state. I don’t know that children need to leave, but I think children need instructions about the reason for their survival.”

Mike Elcu mentioned in Texas A & M, Rheett Lashlee in SMU, Joey Mcguire in Texas Tech, Dave Aranda in Baylor and Willie Fritz in Houston as coaches trying to keep local children around them, and these are just some big programs. There are many other successful programs at different levels in Texas as well.

He is doing his best to make sure that the best of Texas ends in burning orange. This is his job, after all. It does not let the people who escape affect its main charge.

“I would like to have to leave our state, but definitely, as you know, history tells me that we will not sign all the best players every year from Texas,” he said. “Some will go to other schools inside our state. Some will leave. I think a few years ago, we were playing from behind with this mentality, we have turned our focus until we are more aggressive, but this is just the reality of employment at the present time.”

This is why large schools should get out of the state to get senior players as well, said Sarkissian. Some of the best in Texas will be AGIES, Mustangs, Bears, Red Raiders, etc. To compensate for this, schools must travel via state lines to get the best talents, such as Louisiana’s Arch Manning, for example.

He said: “There is a high line that we must make sure to use a list that can compete for the national championships, but in the same distinctive symbol, make sure to employ the best players in Texas constantly, and we cannot sign them all.” “At this point, then we have to go, then we know, as a kind of finding it elsewhere.”
