Santa Monica police are asking to help the public in identifying a man accused of assaulting an elderly security guard in late August.
According to Santa Monica Police DepartmentThe accident occurred at about 2:50 am on August 30 in the 600th bloc from Welshire Street. The investigators said that the suspect attacked the guard using the private victim’s lamp, which resulted in his injury before escaping from the area with a manual lamp.
The police described the suspect as a black man between 25 and 30 years old, with a length of about 5 feet and 5 inches to 5 feet and 7 inches with thin building and short curly hair. At the time of the attack, he was seen wearing a black shirt with a bear on the back, black pants, red and black Nike shoes, carrying a green backpack.
