Saint Marcus, Texas (KXAN) — Six people were injured after a truck collided with a group of pedestrians in a cross corridor, according to the San Marcus Police Department. SMPD said after one o’clock in the morning on Thursday, May 15, the officers responded to borrowing Hopkins Street and LBJ Drive.
The administration said when they arrived, the officers decided that many people were shocked by a pickup truck at the intersection. SMPD said, according to the initial investigation, the truck was accelerating on LBJ Drive before braking and hitting a group of people in the corridor.
A total of six people were injured, according to SMD. Officials said four people were transferred by an ambulance to the Seton Hays Hospital in Kyle, one of whom was transferred to Christos Santa Rosa Hospital in San Marcos and another went to the Seton Hayes.
Police said it was not believed that none of the life injuries.
SMPD truck driver has identified the 24 -year -old Enrique Field.
The administration said Guterres Field stayed at the scene. He was arrested and charged with six charges of strict assault with a fatal weapon, four charges of assaulting poisoning with a vehicle, and carrying an illegal weapon.
SMPD said the investigation was still active.
