Austin (KXAN) – In an attempt to improve the quality of basketball for youth, the current San Antonio Spears striker Harrison Barnes, and his wife Pretani revealed a stadium on Wednesday at the headquarters of the boys and girls club in the Austin region.
Barnes was only with Spears for one season, but the veteran in the American Professional League, which lasted 13 years, is already a difference not only in court but in society.
“I grew up in the boys and girls club,” said Barnes. “Many of their experiences are my experience, so at any time I can try to enhance the facilities they have and inform them that someone is thinking about them, I think this is good.”
As “a former club child”, Barnes and his wife made this next step in a court renewal effort from three cities through the Harrison Society Fund and Betani Barnes.

On Wednesday, the cutting ceremony of the tape helped show a new fence, screens and floors at the basketball field.
“I think I have a nice basketball field, and I want to go out here and play, and it has a positive outlet, and I think these things are important,” he said. “To get these types of opportunities they can go and do so, we hope you pay profits for them on the road.”
