Denver (KDVR) – Safeway workers in Colorado will return to work soon, with UFCW Local 7 Union on Saturday morning that a preliminary agreement was reached after union leaders met Safeway and its mother company Albertsons on Friday.

The Federation said that all members of the union who followed at least one day of sit -in during this week and who have not already gained their full entitlement to their strike, and they will also be paid for walking in a full day for 8 hours today.
What is the deal?
The Federation said that there are 45 temporary agreements in the deal, including the fully funded health care benefits, the benefits of fully funded pensions, strong wages, bonuses of longevity for all colleagues with at least one year of seniority, complete resets of attendance points and an expanded holiday.
The deal also includes a guarantee that there will be no gifts to the work of the compromise unit for companies that disturbed like Doordash and the lack of conversion from retired health care, which means that there are no discounts on retired health care advantages, according to the Federation.
Finally, the new deal includes implementing a new test of testing and learning to study “real and appropriate” recruitment improvements in the store sites.
Safeway/Albertsons said in a statement to Fox31, that “it is pleasure” to reach a “fair and fair agreement” with UFCW “that will benefit our partners and allow us to continue to serve our customers in Colorado.”
The initial agreement comes about a week after UFCW Local 7 The amazing workers said “To keep the line” after Safeway/albertsons said, “Choose” from negotiations, despite the “goodwill attempt” of the Federation to reach an agreement.
