Fort Pierce, Florida (AP)-After a two-week trial, a jury took only two hours on Tuesday to condemn Ryan Roth with the attempt to assassinate Donald Trump at the Golf Stadium in Florida last year, a conspiracy that was retracted when I monitored the service agent of Sri Ruth and shot him.
This chaos was followed in the courtroom shortly after Ruth was convicted of all charges by a federal jury from seven women and five men. Ruth tried to stab himself in the neck by a pen, and the officers quickly pulled him.
When he was removed, Ruth’s daughter, Sarah Ruth, shouted: “Dad, I love you, do not do anything. I will get you out. No one hurts.” She was taken from the courtroom and later waited with her brother Adam Ruth.
The pen that was used was flexible, a design to prevent people detained from using it as a weapon, according to a person familiar with the issue that was unable to publicly reveal the details and spoke to the Associated Press on the condition that his identity was not disclosed. The person said that Roth did not inhibit his skin or hurt himself.
After restoring the matter, Ruth was brought before the American boycott judge, Eileen Cannon. He was restricted and did not in the jacket and wore it while he was representing himself in the trial.
Cannon announced that Roth will be sentenced to December 18 at 9:30 am facing life imprisonment. Defense lawyers did not comment on Ruth after the verdict.
After the verdict, Trump told New York correspondents that the case was “dealt with well.”
“It is very important,” Trump said. “You cannot leave things like this. “Thus, justice was presented. But I am very appreciated by the judge, the jury, and everyone on it.”
The assassination attempt was planned
Prosecutors said that Ruth, 59, spent weeks conspiring to kill Trump before targeting a gun through bushes, as the presidential candidate at the time played the golf on September 15, 2024, at West Palm Push Contrape Club.
Just nine weeks ago, Trump escaped an attempt to his life while he was in Bater, Pennsylvania. This gunman released eight shots, with a single bullet that sponsors Trump’s ear. Then the armed was shot by the secret service meter sniper.
At the trial of Ruth, Robert Farkanu, who was a secret service agent, helped protect Trump at the golf stadium, that Ruth discovered before Trump appeared. Ruth targeted his rifle on the agent, who opened the fire, causing Ruth to drop his weapon and escape without shooting.
The law enforcement obtained the help of those who witnessed that he saw a person fleeing the area after hearing gunshots. Then the witness was transferred in a police helicopter to the near highway where Ruth was arrested, and the witness confirmed that the person he saw.
Ruth was charged with an attempt to assassinate a major presidential candidate, and possesses a firearm in promoting the crime of violence, attacking a federal officer, possessing a firearm and ammunition as convicted crimes, and possessing a firearm with a limited serial number.
Ruth told the jury in his final argument that he did not intend to kill anyone on that day.
“It is difficult for me to believe that a crime happened if the trigger is never withdrawn,” said Ruth. He pointed out that Trump could see that he was on the road towards the sixth green hole and indicated that he could also launch a secret service agent if he intended to harm anyone.
Ruth was elected to represent himself
Cannon signed a routh request to represent himself after two sessions in July. The United States Supreme Court considered that the criminal defendants have the right to represent themselves in the court’s procedures, as long as they can show a judge that they are eligible to give up their right to defend them by a lawyer.
The former defense lawyer in Ruth has served as a preparation advisor since his defense and he was present during the trial.
Ruth practiced his constitutional right not to testify in his defense. His case rested Monday morning after interrogating only three witnesses – a firearms expert and two witnesses – for a total of about three hours. On the other hand, the prosecutors spent seven days in the interrogation of 38 witnesses.
Prosecutor Bam Bondi said in a publication on the X that the guilty ruling “clarifies the commitment of the Ministry of Justice to punish those who participate in political violence.”
“This was not only an attempt to assassinate the attack on our president, but was an insult to our nation,” Bondi said.
