RHOP’s Karen Huger Getting OUT Of Prison Sept 2… The Grande Dame Is Coming BACK!
The Grande Dame is about to be back on her throne.
Six months after being sentenced to two years behind bars for her shocking DUI case, Real Housewives of Potomac star Karen Huger is officially getting an early release. The Jasmine Brand confirmed that Karen, 62, is set to walk free on September 2 — months earlier than expected.
Karen’s case rocked Bravo fans earlier this year after her March 2024 arrest, when she drunkenly crashed into a street sign just three miles from her home. The bodycam footage was jaw-dropping — Karen stumbling, slurring, and admitting she blacked out before the crash. “I didn’t recognize that woman. I didn’t know her,” Karen admitted later at the RHOP reunion.
“But it helped me to hear that because I blacked out before the impact.”
Back in February, Karen was sentenced to two years in prison (with one year suspended), plus $2,900 in fines, after being found guilty of DUI, DWI, and multiple traffic violations. At the time, she was seen comforting her longtime husband, Ray Huger, telling him: “You will be alright. God’s got you.” Even behind bars, Karen’s reputation followed her. Gizelle Bryant spilled in April that Karen was thriving inside, revealing: “I hear that they love her in that prison, which doesn’t shock me at all. Yes, and you know she is running that thing.”
Gizelle also admitted Ray was “still adjusting” to life without Karen at home.
Karen’s request for work release had been denied, meaning she served her time in full custody — but that didn’t stop her from holding her head high. Gizelle even claimed she’s been sending messages to and from Karen through mutual contacts, saying, “She’s given messages back through other people.”
Now, with her release date locked in, fans are already buzzing about what Karen’s comeback will look like on Real Housewives of Potomac. One thing’s for sure: if she was running prison, she’ll definitely be running Potomac when she returns. RHOP has already filmed most of season 10 without Karen, but word on the street is Bravo won’t miss her grand return — cameras are allegedly set to pick back up the moment the Grande Dame walks free.
